Honolulu 911 system is down for mobile carriers; use landline for emergency calls

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – If you need to call 911, use a landline.
That’s what officials are warning the public Sunday.
Officials say that the Honolulu 911 system is currently down for some mobile carriers, and if an emergency service is needed, only a landline will work.
Some of the cell providers include AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
Officials say first responder agencies are working quickly to resolve the issue.
